What do you say to the people who benefit from a culture every day — and still have the audacity to hate it?
Simple.

Drop the shot of tequila. Don’t even think about ordering that burrito.

Got a beach vacation planned?
Cancel that Cancun trip and keep your pale ass north of the border.

No more chips and salsa.
No more Margarita Mondays or Taco Tuesdays with your crew.
No more Coronas, no Pacifico, no Modelo — crack open a cold can of ignorance instead.

Got home improvement needs?
Better call your cousin, because the guys who show up at 6am ready to work (for less money) aren’t coming.

And don’t you dare act like you love “Mexican culture” if you can’t respect the people behind it.

Forget every Mexican friend, co-worker, employee, or neighbor you’ve ever smiled at — because if you can’t respect their humanity, you don’t deserve their contribution.

🇲🇽 September 16th Matters.

Today is Mexican Independence Day.
Not Cinco de Mayo. Not “Taco Tuesday.”

The real day of independence. The real day of pride.
And for me — as a husband to a Mexican woman and father to a half-Mexican daughter — it’s personal.

Because I’m sick and tired of watching one of the hardest-working, most family-centered, culturally rich groups of people on Earth get disrespected, profiled, and demonized by cowards hiding behind “policy” and political slogans.

📣 Mexicans Built This Damn Country, Too.

Let’s be clear:

  • Most of the tomatoes, avocados, lettuce, and citrus you see in grocery stores? Picked by Mexican hands

  • That restaurant you love? It runs because Mexican cooks, dishwashers, support and servers show up at 6 AM and leave after midnight.

  • Your beautiful new landscaping? Your remodeled kitchen? The crew that showed up early, worked through the heat/cold, and didn’t complain? Yeah — good chance they’re Mexican.

And don’t even get me started on the construction sites, hotels, factories, or agriculture fields. Without Latinos and Mexicans, this country falls apart before lunchtime.

🧠 Historical Reminder: This Was Mexico First.

Let’s rewind the history books, shall we?

Arizona, New Mexico, Southern California, Texas — all of it. That was Mexico.
Not a border crossing story. Not a “they came here” story. We drew the new lines. We took it.

And still, the Mexican people remained kind. Welcoming. Resilient.
They’ve been better neighbors to us than we ever deserved.

So when someone disrespects them, treats them like criminals, or stands behind some bullshit government program like ICE that’s actively violating human rights and destroying families, I don’t just see politics. I see hate, cowardice, and ignorance.

💥 You Can’t Hate the People and Love Their Culture.

You don’t get to post anti-immigrant bullshit online while a Latina housekeeper scrubs your floors or cares for your children. You don’t get to call yourself “pro-American” while turning a blind eye to the fact that Mexico is one of our most important allies — to America and to Canada.

If you can’t respect the people, you don’t deserve the flavor, the food, the music, the warmth, or the richness of their culture.

❤️ To Mexico: Gracias.

Thank you for your labor.
Thank you for your loyalty.
Thank you for your music, your food, your family-first values, your work ethic, and your relentless pride.
Thank you for raising daughters like my wife.
Thank you for raising sons who protect, provide, and sacrifice.

Thank you for doing so much for a country that has done so little to say thank you in return.

👊 Final Word

This one’s not for clicks.
It’s not for SEO.
It’s not for politics.

It’s for truth. Respect. And the line that needs to be drawn.

If you’ve got hate for Mexicans, don’t just stay out of my comments —
stay out of every restaurant, grocery store, and business where their impact is felt.
Because if you’re going to hate the people, you don’t get to enjoy what they’ve given you.

To everyone else — go hug a Mexican today.
Or better yet — fight for them. Speak up. Pay them well. Stand beside them.
Because they’ve done more for this country than most of the people who criticize them ever will.

🇲🇽 Viva México.
Por siempre y para siempre
